Motorola launched the new Moto G54, a budget-friendly smartphone, in India on 6th September 2023. Motorola launched Moto G84 just a week ago, which was a mid-range smartphone.
This phone has 2 variants: 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. Surprisingly, both variants are available under 20000, which is great.
Regarding looks, this phone is available in 3 colors: mint green, midnight blue, and pearl blue. G84 was available in 2 variants, one with a plastic back and the other with vegan leather. G54 has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor with a volume rocker.
The phone also has a 3.5 headphone jack port, which is good. For a better multimedia experience, it also has stereo speakers, which support Dolby Atmos.
Display: Moto G54 has a 6.5″ IPS LCD Display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Even though it is an LCD panel, the colors and viewing angles are very good. You can increase the brightness of the screen up to 560 nits.
Overall, the Display is decent, and you will certainly not be disappointed.
Performance: Moto G54 became India’s first smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 7020 based on 6nm. We got around 4,74,583 antutu scores. This processor is an upgraded version of MediaTek Dimensity 930.
If we compare it with the Snapdragon 695, then the SD 695 was scoring around 4,20,000 antutu score. So, yes, DM 7020 is better than 695. We played some games like BGMI COD mobile. We played this game in medium settings, which gave around 30-40 fps gameplay, which was good.
Overall performance of the phone is good.
Battery: Motorola’s first smartphone with a 6000 mAh battery, which you can charge using a 33-watt fast charger included in the box. In normal usage, the battery easily survives for 2 days.
Camera: The Moto G54 has a dual camera setup of a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera sensor. I tested the camera by capturing photos; It required some improvements. But yes, pictures are good compared to smartphones in this price range.
The phone doesn’t support 4K recording, but you can record videos at 1080p resolution at 30 fps. In the front, there is a 16-megapixel camera, which also works well.
